Yoga with Kristy has been located and teaching yoga in Glass House Mountains since 2012.
I’ve been practicing yoga since 1999. I studied yoga teacher training with Yoga Rhythms in 2011 and completed the 360 hour Level 1 course. It is Yoga Australia approved and recognised. I’ve also completed Bliss Baby Prenatal yoga course in 2013, and I’m confident to assist expecting mums to practice safely.
My CPR and first aid certificate are current and I have public liability insurance.
Being passionate about health and well-being, I became a Certified Vegan Nutritionist in 2020.
My classes are for everyBODY. Designed for all levels of fitness and flexibility. My emphasis is on breath (pranayama) and for the mind to be still and focused, not turning ourselves into a pretzel. Our lives are already hectic enough, I want you to leave your worries and responsibilities at the door and enjoy the next 75 minutes, focusing inwards. My style is gentle with a little humour to make you feel at ease. My students LOVE relaxation (savasana) as I guide you through a physical or visual guided meditation with vibrational healing from my singing bowl or hank drum and sometimes I often hear a little snore in the room, but that’s ok :) There is a class suitable for everyone, whether it’s slow and focused on alignment (HATHA) or flowing from pose to pose (ALL LEVEL VINYASA) and maybe a combination of effort and release (EVENING REJUVENATION) but if you want to take it down a notch, slow and steady (GENTLE) there is something for you.
